Our Story

We started this because we were living the years we wanted to remember but were already forgetting. We didn't really notice the time passing, but eventually realized how much of it we'd already lost.

Our kids were newborns who could barely open their eyes, and before we knew it they were full of opinions and throwing food at us. Somewhere in between the exhaustion and blur, meaningful moments slipped away, and we forgot the stories that shaped who they were becoming — week to week, month to month.

We know we won't remember it all. And they'll remember even less during these early years. So we started writing.

But baby books were impossible to keep up with, and tracking measurements and milestones felt incomplete. We needed something a bit more flexible and forgiving, that also captured the actual texture of these years –– the moments, memories, and lessons that mattered. Less stats, more stories.

We also wanted to give our children something they could carry with them — words written to them, not just about them –– that would guide them into whoever they become, long after these early years pass. So they can better understand themselves later, through our eyes now.

In a life increasingly filled with screens, apps, and digital noise — writing by hand felt grounding, like a quiet act of preservation. It felt nice to hold onto some of these years outside of a screen.

If you're also in the thick of it right now but not willing to let these years disappear — we hope this gives you a way to preserve the stories that will help your child understand who they were, and how much you loved them.
